The tour includes AIBN’s Centre for Advanced Imaging with its research-dedicated 7T, plus a look at research being undertaken on brain organoids and brain cancer diagnosis. HIRF, which is located within Australia’s largest hospital precinct and used solely for research, was built to cater to the growing role of imaging in clinical research.
Bringing together state-of-the-art preclinical and clinical research infrastructure and capabilities, AIBN and HIRF work together with industry, researchers, and clinicians to find solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges.

The tour will include access to PC2 laboratories and areas in proximity to high-strength magnets. For safety reasons, all participants are required to wear flat, fully enclosed footwear. Individuals with implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemakers) are welcome to attend but will be asked to disclose this information in accordance with standard health and safety protocols.
