In this event, OHBM trainees (i.e., students and postdocs) will have the opportunity to engage in informal conversations on wide-ranging topics with both new and established PIs and industry experts. Expressions of Interest (EOI) will be released in April. Please stay tuned and follow the OHBM trainees on Twitter and Bluesky for the EOI link!

Open Science SIG

Mark your diaries! The OHBM OSSIG Hackathon will take place Thursday, June 20, to Saturday, June 22, at DreamPlus, Gangnam Station. The OHBM Women Faculty SIG is seeking nominations for the following leadership positions:

  • Chair-elect
  • Secretary-elect
  • Treasurer

The nomination period will be open until April 22, 2024.
Please check out our website for more information about the roles and additional volunteer opportunities to get involved!

Diversity and Inclusivity Committee

The Diversity and Inclusivity Committee (DIC) has a new preprint entitled “Creating Diverse and Inclusive Scientific Practices for Research Datasets and Dissemination.” You can find the preprint on PsyArXiv.

DIC has initiated the formation of various specialized sub-committees to address specific objectives and challenges. These sub-committees serve as essential units in strategizing and implementing focused goals. Each year, the chair of a subcommittee is empowered to establish subcommittees to develop strategies and execute defined objectives, fostering collaborations with other OHBM committees and Special Interest Groups. Recruitment for these subcommittees is sourced from the membership pool within the Diversity and Inclusivity Committee, which was announced in a previous OHBM blog post.

Communications Committee

ComCom has a new website!: ohbm-com.com
The new website is a single home for all ComCom content, including the OHBM Blog, Neurosalience podcast and our Lay Media articles.
Our Lay Media articles have also been rebranded as OHBM Brain Bites. Make sure to check out our recent summaries of OHBM award winners’ scientific papers!
